Retro Inspired Petrol Pump Led Light - Vintage Themed Custom 3D Printed Model

Inspired by the designs of petrol pumps back in the 1950s & 60s, this is a custom designed & 3D printed petrol pump that also doubles up as an LED light. Perfect for adding to a garage or man cave! The model has been created using the Plasticity software, & the parts then printed on the Bambu Lab P1S using various colours of PLA filament. The main pump structure & dome have been printed as a hollow shell to allow the LED light puck that is installed in the base to illuminate the inside to create the lamp. Whilst these structures are hollow the walls are still 3mm thick & are plenty sturdy enough & still allow light through. The pump nozzle is also a 3D printed part that has been attached to the side of the pump & then a length of rubber tubing attached from the handle to the pump itself to act as the hose. Wire has been threaded through the rubber to give the hose some structure. The display on the pump has been custom designed by myself, using references from similar real world examples of petrol pumps. The design has been created in Affinity Designer & then printed onto paper & stuck to the petrol pump, with a layer of OHP film placed on top. The last bit of detail is on the dome light on top, which features black acrylic vinyl lettering of the word 'Petrol' on both sides. This has again been designed by me & then cut using the Cricut Joy & then stuck onto the print. The LED light is powered by a standard Type A USB plug, & features a switch that allows you to change the temperature of the light from warm to cool, as well as separate buttons for adjusting the brightness of the light itself. The cable from the pump itself runs for approximately 130cm, giving plenty of distance to display away from a plug socket or power bank. Petrol Pump Light measures: 310 x 110 x 80mm. A great decorative item for garages, men sheds or offices! == Disclaimer == As with any 3D printed object made from PLA plastic there will be a certain amount of visible linage from the print itself as well as from time to time minor imperfections caused during the print process.
