This pair is no longer available but I can re-create something similar. This is a pair of Paradox sculptures that comes ready to hang on your wall. If you stagger the pair as I have it pictured it occupy wall space measuring 14 W by 32 H. This fused glass wall hanging art measures 21 by 6 each, & comes ready to hang on your wall. This piece has brass, copper, & silver inclusions. I used enamels to get the painterly effect with a lot of texture & character. What are enamels? Basically enamels is a glass powder mixed with metals & pigments. These enamel paints are fired permanently into the glass. I have to fire the piece in my kiln with each layer of enamel paint. To build up the rich color & texture I have fired this several times, with each firing taking about a day. This piece is designed to capture the tension between critical thinking & intuition. I show the contrast of braking things apart...piece by piece...hard lines... defined boundariesanalyzing & deductive... juxtapose to fluidity & curves. All the little glass pieces are fired just high enough to round off all the edges but not high enough to fully fuse down into the lower layer of glass. All the rounded edges refract & reflect the light into beautiful little shimmery patterns ...much like a drop of water... or a large body of kinetic water. There are not very many glass artists that are using enamels this way. So if you want something with its own little corner this is it. My signature is etched at the bottom.
