When darkness falls, the centre sections will light up automatically and will stay on through the night, making them perfect for use to highlight doorways, etc. If movement is detected the in built motion sensor will switch on the bright lower light which makes this great for use as a security light. The inbuilt motion sensor will detect movement up to 10 metres away. As it is solar powered there is no wiring to worry about. The integrated solar panel will recharge the internal battery during daylight hours. Simply ensure that it is placed in an area of direct sunlight. An intelligent light sensor will activate the light at dusk, and will deactivate the light in the morning. Light time is typically 6-8 hours, but this depends on the amount of charge received. The solar panel has been updated to a laminate version which is more efficient at converting the sunlight into battery charging power. It also has a life expectancy three times longer than the original epoxy board design. As this solar light is designed to be used outdoors it may be exposed to rain. To improve the product life, there are now two separate seals between the internals and the back case. Therefore the light more durable and weatherproof than ever before.
