The napflat creates a comfortable space for a small child to sleep while being secured & supported within their allocated seat space. Compact & lightweight, designed with quick release for easy set up which allows access to under seat storage. This product is designed for use by small children only. The napflat relies on the use of the tray table of the seat in front, so cannot be used in a bulkhead position, & only in seats that are not on the aisle. Napflat should only be installed in full once the aircraft has reached cruising altitude. The ability to use this product remains at the discretion of the cabin crew of any flight, however in my trials to varied destinations on different airlines, no napflat was refused. When designing the napflat, I addressed the two issues of concern to airlines who have not endorsed other products : safety concern with blocking access to the aisle : the quick release mechanism will allow immediate access to the aisle when the tray table is being used. If the tray table is already stowed, it will take a moment longer. potential damage to airline seats : the napflat is designed to hold the weight of a child's legs only, their body would be supported by the seat...if an adults upper body weight being rested upon an extended tray table does no damage, how could a child?
