Handwoven Wool Cushion - Locally Sourced Lambswool, Brown Ochre & Blue

This cushion has been woven by hand in a lively modern palette using the natural undyed brown colour of the wool, together with burnt orange, ochre, grey & blue. It's woven in lambswool, with a weft using undyed wool from a local herd of Drenthe Heide sheep, grazed on the fallow lands of the Westland area close to my home. Two similar cushions are available. Each piece I weave is entirely individual, handwoven on my electronic, manually operated hand loom using carefully selected yarns. Once woven, the fabric is gently washed to give texture to the fabric. The front of the cushion uses the handwoven fabric & the back is a cotton mix fabric with an opening for removal of the cushion pad if necessary. The bespoke cushion pad is covered with cotton & filling is 100% polyester. LENGTH x WIDTH 45 x 34 cm CARE INSTRUCTIONS Cushions can be spot cleaned with a mild soap solution; dry cleaning is recommended. SHIPPING & PACKAGING This item comes wrapped in sustainable tissue paper with care instructions, & a postcard showing the original inspiration for the piece. Where possible I use recycled packaging.
