Our stool pays homage to the original PJ-SI-21B model designed by Jeanneret for Punjab University in Chandigarh circa 1965-66. Our handmade stool has a solid teakwood construction & a braided canework seat. The four tapered & slanted legs are joined together by double cruciform crosspieces, forming an 'x' shaped base. Our stool is made of reclaimed teakwood with rattan caning. All the timber used in the chairs is reclaimed from rafters of old demolished buildings & has a greater resistance to warping than naturally aired new timber. We also use long strands of cane which results in fewer knots on the chair backs. The stool is available in various finishes as per client request, ensuring it blends seamlessly with your decor. All pieces are handmade by local craftsmen in India with the highest respect for the original designs.
