DESCRIPTION Kintsugi 'Bar' Pendant Made From Ancient Bog Oak Wood With Choice of Inlay. >Wood is finished to a high standard with natural wax. >Rectangle size: Approx. 40mm long by 8mm >Necklace will arrive in a gift box with a card about Kintsugi & bog oak wood & aftercare instructions. THE PROCESS Each piece of wood is cut to size, then lines are hand carved into the wood to embody the kintsugi art to represent broken pieces restored back together. Gold, silver, copper leaf, or carefully selected gemstones are inlaid into the carved grooves. This technique ensures the design will not fade or rub off, as the elements are set permanently within the wood. There are 2 options for the finished inlay. >OPTION 1) After the inlay has been placed into wood it is then filled with a clear resin to create a smooth surface that sits flush with the wood. >OPTION 2) There is NO resin added after the grooves in wood have been inlaid. PRECIOUS METAL INLAY This comes in genuine 22ct gold, 22ct rose gold, 9.6ct white gold, platinum, pure silver or pure copper leaf. Palladium is available on request. Opal comes in white, orange, red, purple, blue or green base colours. We have natural Ethiopian opal if preferred but please note, this does not come out as bright as the lab opal in the kintsugi style, as the lines are very thin.
