This rustic desk is made with high quality & sustainably grown timber. We source all of our timber from our local sawmill. Our suppliers always guarantee their timber products are 100% FSC certified. The wood is kiln dried which eliminates any movement or warping / splitting like lesser quality types of wood such as scaffold boards. This ensures that your studio desk will last for years & years to come, even with daily use & heavy equipment loaded on it. Desk Details The height of the studio desk is 78cm. This creates a comfortable amount of leg room while keeping the keyboard tray & the desk top height at optimal levels. The desk in the listing images if finished in our Walnut finish. More finishes are available, as can be seen from the colour samples image. If you need a custom finish or looking to match existing furniture in your space, please get in touch & we will create a custom finish for you. The legs for this desk are made from heavy duty steel. As standard we will provide square shaped legs but if you prefer to have any other shape (see image with available leg shape styles), you can simply leave us a note on your order & we will provide the type of legs you prefer. These variations in the wood are to be expected & celebrated & we promise that they will not affect the functionality or structural integrity of the piece. in truth, these little imperfections enhance the unique character of the furniture which means that you can be certain that no other piece will be exactly like yours. Kiln drying the wood properly reduces splitting & warping but because wood is living, its moisture content will fluctuate based on the humidity of its surroundings & will cause some natural movement. Our products are thoughtfully designed, manufactured & finished with care, to allow for this natural movement of the wood. A simple assembly will be required to install the legs.
