Turtle Wire Sculpture, Handmade Minimal Home Decor

This turtle wire sculpture is made from a continuous strand of 16-gauge steel wire. Size is approximate: Length: 8 inches (head to tail), Width: 5 inches, Height: 2.5 inches Each piece is handmade by me, so there will be some variability in size. Sculpting with wire allows me to define form & imply movement as each piece becomes a dynamic drawing in space. Because I sculpt with steel wire, this piece may oxidize & develop a rust patina. If you prefer to protect your piece from rust, a light coating of a clear spray varnish may be applied. It is my hope that my work reflects my love of the natural world & that my methods are kind to the environment as well.
