Ceramic vase sculpture in textured clay completely handmade the entire process. The creation of this unique work of art was a slow & painstaking process. The vase is fired twice, it is not glazed on the outside but is glazed on the inside to contain water. It can be used as a vase or as a sculptural element for your home. You are purchasing a one-of-a-kind handmade piece, so you will have no surprises as the piece in the photos is the only one I have. I can assure you that you will have a unique piece that no one else has! The construction phase: The vases are built by hand using different modeling techniques (one or two days) Product drying time about 1 week This vase is made of clay with chamotte, it takes approximately 2 days to enter & exit the kiln ceramic. The last part is the glaze & firing again in the ceramic oven. The creation of this unique work of art was a slow & painstaking process. It is hand painted with slips before firing, then glossy clear glazed & fired again. All pieces are made with a lot of love by me in my studio in a town near Barcelona. PACKAGING. Ceramic packaging requires a lot of wrapping to prevent breakage. I use paper & twine to wrap my pottery. For boxes & protective materials I try to reuse what I already have to reduce waste.
