Maybe you have an old lamp somewhere, you don't really like it, but you don't want to throw it away either. Maybe you feel an emotional attachment to it, you inherited it, or someone gave it to you, or maybe you bought it in a second hand shop thinking you would make something beautiful of it, only you never did... Here's your chance! I will gladly make your old lamp -see the ones in the third picture- into something beautiful, something you will really like & enjoy again! I can make a perfect-fit handfelted lampshade for almost any size or shape lamp, provided it has an iron wire-frame, like the ones you can see in the first two pictures. If you consider this, please convo me & include a picture & the measurements of your lamp, & your color- & design preferences. I will then look if what you want is possible & make you an offer. If we come to an agreement, I will make a special listing for you. Then you simply send your lampshade or wire-frame to me. I will make the new shade, send it back to you within two weeks & you can enjoy your new old lamp! If you have a lamp you like, but no shade for it, maybe I can find one for you, as you can see in the first two pictures. I have collected quite a few wire frames lately & I am always on the lookout for more ugly, but potentially beautiful lampshades :-). There just might be one with the perfect shape & size for your lamp! Of course you will know the price of yours before you decide! - the last two pictures are just examples to give you an impression of the possibilities. - I use natural materials, like wool, silk, cotton & linen, & occasionally a tiny bit of 'brightstar' (nylon) By nature wool does not burn, so all my lamps are completely safe. Nevertheless they are best used in combination with a low energy lightbulb. All my lampshades are made by hand; their shape is somewhat irregular, & no two lampshades are exactly the same. I consider this to be the character of the material & the felting process, which contributes to the uniqueness of the piece. All lampshades are 100% handmade, eco friendly & OOAK.
