They hang motionless against the glass, their abdomens glow red in the sunlight streaming through the window. A thin wire is tied between their back feet. With a nail or a hook they will hang nicely from a window frame. Dangling in front of a window, their elegant feet stretch out to about 10 in diameter; their abdomen is about 2 in diameter. The vintage acrylic globe I used to create these beauties captures the world around them. If you stare into the depths of that orb you can see the world beyond the spiders upside down.
