Inspired by traditional Thai fishing baskets, each lamp combines generations-old bamboo weaving techniques with a simple natural lamp base to create an unusual piece of contemporary lighting. Unlike a conventional fabric floor lamp, the woven bamboo shade itself becomes the feature. Every basket is individually handmade, giving each lamp its own subtle variations & character. These ingenious baskets have been woven for generations from strips of natural bamboo, creating a lightweight structure without requiring a conventional rigid frame. The bamboo basket & lamp base remain separate pieces. The shade simply sits over the base, allowing it to be easily removed or changed in the future.
