Boot Jack - Blue Stained Pine

Here are examples of my Blue Stained Pine boot jacks. Crafted from Blue Stained Beetle-Killed Pine. Some of the jacks exhibit borer holes. The blue stain results from a fungus introduced by bark beetles which does not harm the wood, but can result in dramatic blue staining of the grain. The jacks are about six inches wide & seventeen inches long. All are sanded smooth & given an oil finish. They have a grooved tread pattern which allows good traction for a stocking-clad foot while removing a second boot. The jaw design fits fat snow boots & narrow heeled shoes as well.
