A great blue heron relief sculpture. These distinctive birds are a fairly common sight where we live. Stalking their prey along the shorelines as quiet as cats, they never fail to impress. & when they take to the air...Jurassic Park! My aim was to capture that stone stare. From my original sculpture in soft clay, I created a mold to cast permanent pieces in hydrostone. The cast sculptures are then hand colored to create unique works of art. As always ,my aim is to create museum quality, affordable sculpture.
