The walnut lumber was sawed from eastern black walnut trees, which are native to the Eastern United States & milled locally. The solid walnut stool is accented with a barley twist rope like trim & scalloped edges with a hand-applied walnut stain & finish. It has been upholstered in an exotic all-natural brown & white Brazilian leather cowhide that is absolutely gorgeous. This piece was handcrafted based on an antique Empire footstool that we had in our inventory & was hugely popular & inquired by many. Cleaning & Care Instructions: Cowhides are very easily maintained & require minimal care. We recommend occasionally vacuuming your cowhide with the grain of the hair to rid of dust & dirt and/ or to lightly clean with mild soap & water (do not soak through)...This is all your cowhide should ever need. Do not be concerned with damaging your hide due to the fact properly tanned cowhides are practically indestructible, & their natural oils resist staining.
