This group of 13 handmade butterflies creates a wall sculpture art piece that will flutter across your wall. Titled Petalouda which means Butterfly in Greek, the work is inspired by the ancient Greek belief that butterflies were symbolic of the soul's transformation & immortality. The butterflies ascend across a wall, with the 13 representing time, the divine feminine & the lunar calendar months. There are 10 white & 3 gold in this set. Each butterfly measures approx 2.5 inches (6cm) Arranged as intended in the 2nd photograph, the piece measures approx 80cm wide x 40cm high. (32 x 16 inches) Each butterfly sculpture is hand crafted from white porcelain & finished off with golden wire. It's fun to arrange this set of eleven smooth 3D porcelain wall art butterflies! They're like jewelry for your walls - the wings will cast shadows that change as the light changes through the day.
