Artisan molded glazed ceramic Dog sculptures are available in 2 sizes, both the Large & Small are fused to a thick ceramic base. The Dog's sculpted skeletal shape is influenced by Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Traditions. This whimsical work of art is hand painted with colorful patterns. The hand painted Talavera & Majolica inspired patterns cover the flopped over ears & extend to the back of the head. The ceramic base is hand painted with the same matching pattern. Each Dog is individually painted by the top Talavera artisans of Guanajuato Mexico; their technique is inspired by old-world Talavera & Majolica artistry. Dimensions - Weight - Specifications. The 2nd bake is done in high-fire kiln with protective glaze finish. lead free paint & Glossy protective Glaze coat that is baked on in a high-fire kiln at 1700F.
