These ArteFactByHand pieces are hand made by artisan Jeffrey Krida, & feature genuine historic Antique Bobbins, which were indeed used in the PENDLETON Wollen Mills in Pendleton, Oregon as part of the large, long weaving machines, to spin wool yarn onto the bobbins. Since the 19th century these yarns have made enduring & iconic indian trading blankets & frontier clothing that are, along with your authentic bobbins, part of America's history & lore. in recent years Pendleton Mills replaced the original wooden bobbins with molded plastic bobbins & our original wood bobbins were recovered from their factory basement! Each set of bobbin candle sticks were used for many years in the Pendleton wollen mill, were lathe cut from solid wood & fitted originally with steel inserts for attachment to the mill machines. I have fitted them on the top with brass candle base size rims , & on the bottom with 3 different styles (your choice) of heavy solid cast brass Rosette bases: #1 Petals pattern; #2 Beaded Edge pattern; #3 Curving Vines pattern. Height is either 12 or 15 Each set of Bobbin Candlesticks come signed & numbered on the base & with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artisan.
