One Of A Kind Quilt, Barn Doors, Crib, Baby, Blanket

Original, one of a kind quilt. Handmade by myself using premium quilting cotton, softer than soft wool batting, & cotton thread. This pattern is inspired by the aging barn doors of the Annapolis Valley farms. The scrappy patchwork looks right at home in this design. Quilt was hand quilted with the tiniest stitches over a summer on the East Coast of Canada. Never washed, & made in a scent free environment. Most prints are from a collection by Robyn Pandolph named Love & Liberty. Soft florals & gentle paisleys adorn this sweet line in pinks, robin's egg blues, off white & light greens. Wool batting is my preferred batting because it's more snuggly than cotton batting & it's breathable so baby won't get overheated. A perfect welcome for a sweet little baby. So much love & attention went into this little quilt. I'm excited for it to belong to someone's little one! A little about me: Being one of those popular kids who spent my teenage years sewing, I couldn't wait to study Garment Construction in University. There I learned Patternmaking, Tailoring, & reproducing historically accurate garments of the 1700's. I absolutely loved my schooling, & once I graduated I went on to work in alteration shops, made prom & wedding gowns, & clothing for our children. Now that my baby is in school, I'm excited to start a little business with my sister-in-law Caverly where I can remain a stay-at-home Mom, & do what I love - designing, creating, & teaching. We're new textile designers for RJR fabrics, with our first collection of premium Quilting Cottons expected in quilting stores worldwide in early February.
