Candle Holder-Tea Light Holder-Wood-Mountain Ash

The tea light holder candle holder is made from the wood of a mountain ash which I brought from Sweden. The wood grows very slowly there & is therefore dense & heavy. The branches of the mountain Ash had to be cut off & were peeled off immediately after sawing. The wood was dried & then processed here in Germany. The cut surfaces are finely ground & treated with an increase in the wax. The hole for the tea candle is 40 mm in size, so that standard tea lights, fragrance tea lights & also led tea lights fit into the candle holder. The stand surface is smooth ground. The natural materials like wood & horn give me the templates for the design of my objects through their manifold shapes, colours & grains. They are wonderful, warm & vibrant materials. All my wooden objects can have pores, cracks, knots, defects & also wormholes or traces of insects or other animals. These are deliberately not removed from me, but used to design the objects. Nature, just like us, is not perfect & has little quirks & flaws. It is up to us to akeptieren this & to see the true beauty in the materials that nature offers us. She gives us so many wonderful things, you just have to discover & perceive them. A beautiful piece of decoration from the Scandinavian wilderness!
