Handmade throw cushion/pillow with a traditional Japanese multicoloured design.This cushion would add a touch of the orient to your home or give as a gift to someone special. The appliqud panel is made with a tradition Japanese Furoshiki wrapping cloth, 'furo' is from the word for bath,and 'shiki' is a cloth that is spread on the ground. It seems that in the Edo Period, from the 17th to 19th century, furoshiki were used to wrap the clean clothes in, carrying the worn clothes home, & in between, were spread on the bath house floor to stand on while changing. Front - Multicoloured Japanese art designed applique panel on beige/neutral cotton fabric. Back - Light/Dark Beige Nu Suede fabric with envelope opening for easy access. All seams are overlocked for a professional finish. Dry clean only. This listing is for one cushion/pillow cover only,The actual size of cover is 17inch or 43 cm as this will accommodate a 18x18 inch 45cm cushion pad for a nice snug fit, these can be bought at many stores.
