Large macrame wall hanging - cream colored with delicate maidenhair fern & citrine crystal details. This is an intricate piece of fiber art that feels airy & fresh. It was inspired by the Goddess of spring, Persephone. Persephone loved nature & flowers & used to roam the earth looking for them, making it blossom, until she was abducted by Hades & taken to the Underworld, in Greek Myth. My longing for spring after a long hard winter inspired me to think of her story. The myth says that after she was taken to the Underworld, her Mother, Demeter, created winter because of her sadness & that when the world is lush & green again, it is because Persephone has returned to the earth. This wall hanging would look beautiful in many different spaces. It is suspended on a curtain rod that is also cream colored with brushed gold accents. Most of the items used to create it were purchased from other Etsy shops. The maidenhair fern garland does come with the wall hanging, but please note that it will come wrapped, & will need to be attached to the rod by you in whatever fashion you prefer so as to protect the garland & fiber art. Also, if the maidenhair fern garland is not available (we live in strange times) I will ship another garland of similar style in its place - it may be willow, or eucalyptus leaves, but will still be just as beautiful...
