Bluebill Decoy

This is a newly created carving made to pay tribute to those decoys created long ago by men living near the water whose livelihood depended on their craftsmanship & ability to create a decoy able to attract waterfowl. It is a Bluebill or Scaup duck which is a diver found in many locales. It is aged & has a patina to represent the appearance of a well used decoy that may have been hunted over for many years. It is made with a flat bottom for ease of display on a desk or table top or shelf in any area & the finished size is approximately 14L x 6W x 7H. An ideal gift for any hunter or anyone who appreciates the traditions of the watermen of years past, however this is a decorative decoy & would not be suitable to hunt with. Bluebill Decoy
