Circles Of Life, Pen Holder

This is a one of a kind creation, made of natural reclaimed timbers of two different species. Douglas Fir & White Pine both of which are reclaimed from a church that was taken down in the city of Chicago, IL. around 2014. The church was built in the late 1800's. The original size of the timbers were used as the pillars to support the structure. This pen holder is fashioned so the growth rings from every angle are aligned as one piece. However, it is of two species, the two separate trees grew from different locations on this earth. They share the same sized growth rings! There is not another!! It is finished with a tongue oil of many applications. If you would like to smell the rich earthy odor emitted from the Douglas Fir, apply a coat of a fine mineral oil made for wooden utensils.
