Herringbone Bedside Tables

These are custom made bedside tables. They were inspired by mid-century design with a twist, it does this by using simple lines, minimal ornamentation & the use of honest materials to create a natural, simple feel that connects it to its surrounding. Designed by Matthew De Handmade The Unit features one draw at the top & one shelf at the bottom. The piece is completely made using messmate which is an Australian hardwood that is very sustainable while having great characteristics, it ha a light golden color, brown gum veins, prominent straight grain & is a hard timber so will resist scratches & dents well. The herringbone draw front was created by laying strips of Messmate at a 45 degree angle this exposes different grain variation giving it a unique look & feel. The bedside tables are structural sound & well made so it should last many decades. Sizes: Draw: 350mm x 330mm x 140mm Shelf: 405mm x 190mm x 375mm Finish: Oil based polyurethane, Clear Satin Grain & colour may vary as its made from solid hardwood.
