Handmade Wood Slimline Pen - Jatoba With Black Hardware

This beautiful hand turned Slimline style pen demonstrates my Conway profile design. I love the blend of beauty & functionality this design. For example, the detailed groves on the top provide extra grip when pulling the pen out of a pocket. The groove under the point where the clip touches the pen relieves pressure from the clip & making it easier to clip to a pocket. & the contoured grip provides a very comfortable & natural feel. The black hardware combined with the warm color of the Jatoba blend in perfect harmony & add balance to each other. The unique look to the grain perfectly compliments the curves & features of the Conway design. I handcraft every pen, with both function & beauty driving the design. I choose the wood for its uniqueness & natural beauty. I carefully inspect each piece of wood, & if it does not catch my eye, I don't turn it. After turning & shaping the wood on the lathe, I go through an extra sanding process to achieve a naturally glossy finish. I continue beyond the typical 600 grit process & use a progression of fine micro mesh for a natural shine. I then apply a finish that is both wear & water resistant but still maintains a natural feel. Pens are carefully assembled & again checked for fit, finish, & function. This pen is handmade in Maine, USA. It is ready to ship, as it is the actual one shown. The pen has a twist mechanism & comes with a Cross Style black ink cartridge.
