He is approximately 14 to the top of his ears, & is made from soft brown & white natural wool over a strong aluminium wire armature, with detailed paws. He comes with my signature AFA tag. Your hare can be posed so becomes a 'living' art work. This hare will be unique & made with great attention to detail. Beautifully designed & carefully crafted, it takes many hours to create one hare. This lovely hare is made to commission so, as in all original art works, there will be variations in the final piece; the photographs show previous commissions & are for illustration only. each of my individually made pieces varies slightly in detail & character, but will be equally endearing & special to you. Due to the length of time he takes to create, my current turnaround for this hare is approximately 8-10 weeks from date of purchase. HOW THIS ITEM IS MADE Needle felting is the process of binding wool fibres by repeatedly stabbing them with a barbed needle. The barbs catch onto the fibres & cause them to tangle & bind together. To create a 3D sculpture it can take hours of work & thousands of stabs from start to finish. This sculpture is built around a strong wire armature which enable it to be gently posed in different positions.
