(Shown here in royal blue) Open heart surgery requires the sternum to be opened to access the heart. This causes discomfort for some time post surgery & often for many weeks after. Basic tasks like trying to get comfy in a chair or trying to sit up can cause pain, so can breathing & coughing. This is where this cardiac heart pillow helps. Holding the pillow close cushions & supports the sternum healing & offers protection for your stitches, preventing further injury. Offers a barrier from your surroundings, & basically will become your best friend in the coming weeks. The pillow is generously & firmly filled with hypo allergenic polyester hollowfibre filling. This filling is high quality, has been completely carded & very importantly abides with British Fire Safety Regulations. The pillow is made using ultra soft & silky luxurious polyester fleece fabric, this has a lovely soft feel to it & is fully lined for superior quality. The pillow is double sewn for extra reassurance. Available in 4 colours - red, grey, light blue & royal blue. Pillow measures 14 x 14 (35.5cm x 35.5cm). Machine wash on low heat.
