Please note: This is a SECONDS item with minor imperfections. We have a handful of these candles with a uneven section at the base, as shown in the first image. To use, melt a small pool of wax into the base of your candle holder to hold the candle in place. Alternatively hold in place with a spiked candle holder, such as our wall sconce. Made in a small workshop in Cumbria, where the traditional technique of hand-dipping has been used for over 40 years. How our candles are made: The time-honoured technique of dipping is a slow & gradual process. The wicks are hung from a metal frame which is dipped at intervals into the molten wax. Each layer is cooled before they are dipped again, with this process repeated until the desired shape is reached. Some are dipped up to 20 times.
