Handmade Ceramic Garden Sculpture, Navy Blue, Cream, Turquoise

Ceramic Vessels, sculptures Handmade in Yorkshire. Over the years I have made many vessels varying from very tiny to standing meters tall. The three pieces you see in particular were inspired by trees & nature. They can be placed inside on your mantle piece or window sill or hidden amongst pretty garden plants & flowers. I would suggest if placing the vessels outside that you support them within the soil to avoid windy weather blowing them over. All my pottery withstands cold weather & is safe to place outside all year round. I have pieces which have been outside throughout winter months in England & they are fine. Obviously if you live in a country where it gets extremely cold I would recommend bringing them in for a few months just to be safe. Each piece of pottery is made by hand as a one-off piece & is glazed using my own secret recipes unique to 'Wiktorski Ceramics'. I allow the obvious joins in the clay to be totally visible to the eye as it has become an important feature to my ceramics as is the natural, organic nature of my work. Once the piece is made it is left to dry for approximately one week. It is then fired for 10 hours to biscuit temperature. The piece is then glazed using one or two of my secret recipes & fired to stoneware temperature for a further 12 hours. The piece is then ready to send to my customers. As you can appreciate this is a very lengthy process which is reflected in the price & quality of my work.
