While gathering ideas, I began to notice the importance of originality, context, & character in the wine trade. There's great pride (from grape seed, to vine, to wine) in the product vineyards & wineries put their names to. in contrast, there's great contextual appreciation when an aficionado selects a bottle or glass of wine from a specific country, region, vineyard, or winery. To capture this essence, I found myself working with original materials including reclaimed wood pieces. These materials tell a story much like the taste of a sip of wine does.
