The Marmot Woodcarving

Wooden marmot hand carved in pine wood & hand painted with different bright colors. The marmot is very common in the Dolomite mountains & our family has been carving it for generations. This ancient tradition has almost gotten lost since it was usually done by farmers, usually women, & farmers are getting scarce in our valley. We would like to bring this tradition back.
