19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN NEEDLEPOINT TAPESTRY PILLOW FIGURAL Feast your eyes on this charming Victorian needlepoint petitpoint tapestry pillow. The needlepoint is from the late 19th century. It features a young girl in her finery wearing a hat & surrounded by flowers & leaves. The needlepoint is in excellent condition with some fading as would be expected for its age. The needlepoint measures approx. 11.5 x 12.5. The colors are rust, gold, red, purple, burgundy, pink, brown & more on a faded black background. The girl is done in petitpoint while her brown hair is done in a lumpy three dimensional stitch which makes her hair look curly. The rest is done in needlepoint. I used an antique dark gold & black metallic trim around the needlepoint. The fabric is antique gold damask jacquard with a leaf pattern to mimic the leaves in the needlepoint. I used the same fabric on the back then finished the pillow off with a gold chenille tassel trim. The pillow measures approx. 21 x 21 stuffed. There is a hidden zipper closure for your convenience & a down & feather insert for a plush look & feel. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. This one of a kind pillow will add character & charm to any decor. You can rest assured that there is not another one like it. It is in excellent newly created condition combining the old (needlepoint & metallic trim) with the new (all the other elements). It comes from a smoke free home.
