SPIDER II, metal sculpture in hand forged steel Intrigued already for years by the nature & shape of spiders -and after having drawn lots of them - Cos forged & hammered this compact, plain spider out of used horse shoes. His aim was to make a moving, walking spider, which is slowly setting the next step. It seemed contradictory to make such a tiny & light animal in heavy metal but Cos conceived to bring the spider back to its powerful essentials without losing its character. The metal has had a fire treatment & was then finished with a matt metal lacquer.
