Table Lamp Crystal

What I particularly loved about making this lamp was my use of mixing materials. I made the 2 bases out of Italian marble that I had lying around my shop & then plated all the hardware in a polished nickel. As a contrast to the clean lines of the Czech crystals used for the body of the lamp I added some pendaloque Swarovski crystals in a smoke & silver color for under the lampshade giving the lamp a true transitional feel. I made the lampshade out of silk string in what I call an Ice Blue color. I feel the lampshade has a blue/silver tone to it & just like how I see jewelry these days mixing gold & silver, I left the holder of the lampshade in brass because these lamps are truly Jewelry for your Home, mixing function with fashion!
