Lettering inspiration Built in 1916, Hempstead Plains Airfield on Long Island, New York, was renamed in 1919 in honor of US President Theodore Roosevelt's youngest son, Quentin. He died in an air battle in France during World War I. in 1951 the airfield was closed & in 1956 what was then the largest shopping center in the world was built on it. The piece of furniture is delivered fully assembled. Just unpack, set down & enjoy. Please also note our selection of other models & colors in our shop. This extraordinarily beautiful piece of furniture is handcrafted from solid wood. We manufacture in Germany from local woods & thus take full account of the idea of sustainability.
