"Unique Handmade Hardcover Genuine Leather Book - Object ""Atropos"

Luxury one of a kind handmade Coptic binding genuine leather book - object Atropos. It can be used as a notebook, journal or sculpture. The cover of this notebook was made from European high quality leather, which was hand painted. Aged French parchment was used for flyleaves. Flyleaves of the book have calligraphic writing. Atropos or Aisa, in Greek mythology, was one of the three Moirai, goddesses of fate & destiny. Her Roman equivalent was Morta. Atropos was the oldest of the Three Fates, & was known as the Inflexible One. It was Atropos who chose the manner of death & ended the life of mortals by cutting their threads. She worked along with her two sisters, Clotho, who spun the thread, & Lachesis, who measured the length. Atropos has been featured in several stories, such as those of Atalanta & Achilles. The book - object was created in 2022 by Leonora Kuisien & was exhibited in Leonora's solo exhibition Kloto June 2022 at Raudondvaris castle. Size: 29 x 22 cm. 680 pages.
