This is my modern interpretation of a classic luxury velvet armchair. Based on an original Ikea chair, i upholstered & repainted the armchair. As a designer I'm deeply interested in textile design & the tactile experience of a velvet surface. This inspired me to work with the contrast of a sleek metal frame & a cozy luxury seating. - The dark green cotton velvet was bought in Athens, Greek & is an high quality natural fabric. Check out their site: natural greek fabrics on Facebook. - The metal frame of the chair has been cleaned, sanded & repainted with over 4 layers of golden copper & bronze paint.
