The season of harvests has begun, & the night & day will once again be equal to celebrate the changing of summer to autumn; Mabon. A specialty cauldron candle is accented with three different color wax drips in correspondence with the holiday in particular, & the herb mix on top is much the same. Specially collected & mixed by me & added on top of the candle itself to celebrate the holiday at hand. in this case, it all revolves around Mabon! The fall equinox as summer officially ends, & the weather starts to cool. The flows of energy in the world shift as the days begin their descent into deep fall & winter. Autumn Equinox, around September 21, is the time of the descent of the Goddess into the Underworld. With her departure, we see the decline of nature & the coming of winter. in September, we also bid farewell to the Harvest Lord who was slain at Lammas. He is the Green Man, seen as the cycle of nature in the plant kingdom. He is harvested & his seeds are planted into the Earth so that life may continue & be more abundant. Mabon is the Witch's Thanksgiving, a time to appreciate & give thanks to the Goddess for her bounty & to share in the joys of the harvest. To celebrate & welcome the end of one turn, & the start of the next turn of the Wheel. You have the option of the candle being scented, as well. Should you choose it, the Mabon scent blend will include frankincense, myrrh, rosemary, apple, & clover. Each candle is made to order to ensure freshness & quality. Once made, it is roughly 3.5 x 3.25 x 3.5 inches (with slight variance due to the contrasting drips). Weight comes out at around 14 oz. (again, with only slight variation). It is meant to be burned as a standard candle in the home, not to be used as a bath & body product due to the use of fragrance oils that are not considered skin safe in the scent.
