This live edge table is skillfully crafted from a single walnut tree once located in a mountain cove in Burnsville, NC. The natural edge of the tree is preserved on both sides of the symmetrical book-matched table top. It is quite rare to find black walnut with as little sapwood as this, but because this tree was just on edge of the forest it was able to grow slowly resulting in a much tighter & beautiful grain pattern. The hand rubbed finish truly brings out the depth & character wood deserves & will only improve in patina over the years.
