Handmade Metal Praying Mantis Sculpture

This is a sculpture of a Praying Mantis based on photographs. This item will be made to order based on the pictures shown of previous models, if you prefer, the pose can be changed to suit your requirements. The body is made from multiple pieces of sheet mild steel of various thicknesses hand bent, filed, sanded & hammered into shape then welded together onto a thicker base layer for strength. Each leg is made from thick metal cut & filed into shape with thick curved shields to the front arms. This model is free-standing & is finished in brushed steel & partially polished then clear lacquered for internal display (n.b. if you want an external model we can make it out of stainless steel instead - please send us a message for a quote). This design is easily reproduced & can be made in other metals such as Stainless Steel, or wax / lacquered or painted. Can also be made in different sizes.
