Single Candle Holder With Black Glass Rim

This candle holder is made of copper foiled stained glass. The body is a beautiful clear textured glass in a abstract, fern-like pattern. There is a 1 border of a black & clear swirled & variegated glass. The finished size is 4 1/2 high by 3 wide. There is a 1 square bevel of clear glass in the lower right hand corner. To construct the candle holder, I first cut the glass, then grind the edges smooth. I wrap the edges in a copper foil tape, then solder it into shape. I then clean, patina, & clean again. Finally, I polish it to a warm luster. I've include a votive candle in a clear glass holder. The pattern in the glass really reflects the flame, creating beautiful light & pattern.
