This small handmade blue ceramic wall clock is created as a sculptural ceramic object that brings calm, clarity, & luminous color into the space. Both functional & expressive, it transforms the simple act of measuring time into a visual & tactile experience. Part of my Crystal Blue Collection, this piece is inspired by the clarity of water, mineral formations, & the quiet depth of blue tones found in nature. Layers of cobalt blue, deep sapphire, & soft crystalline textures emerge during firing, creating natural transitions that resemble stone, water, & light suspended in motion. The surface carries a sense of stillness & quiet energy grounding & atmospheric at once. Each clock is entirely hand-built by me, ceramic artist Ralica Marinova, using high-quality white stoneware clay. It is shaped without molds or pottery wheel, allowing subtle variations & organic irregularities that give the piece its authentic handmade presence. The glazed surface develops depth & tonal variation naturally in the kiln, making each clock completely unique & impossible to replicate. The clock features black metal hands & a silent, non-ticking quartz mechanism with smooth sweeping movement. It operates with one AA battery (not included). The integrated hanger allows immediate & secure wall mounting.
