Every helmet is individually handcrafted by me in my studio in Greece. The surface is carefully finished to recreate the appearance of weathered ancient iron, giving the sculpture an authentic museum-like presence. The helmet is constructed from iron & paper mache clay & is mounted on a two-level iron base for stability & elegant presentation. The base is decorated with handcrafted ceramic bas-relief details featuring the famous Vergina Sun, also known as the Macedonian Star, one of the best-known symbols associated with the ancient Kingdom of Macedon. The front of the sculpture is adorned with a handcrafted ceramic figure of the goddess Athena, symbolizing wisdom, courage, protection & victoryqualities closely connected with the warriors & rulers of Ancient Greece. Every detail is shaped, assembled & finished by hand, making each sculpture slightly unique while preserving the overall design & historical inspiration.
