steampunk Violin Sculpture Mixed Metal Clockwork Art

Real steampunk violin. I made this steampunk violin using a real violin which I embellished with steampunk sculpture resembling the old way of mechanical machines. I used gears taken from old mechanical clocks,watch movement from pocket & hand watches , brass & copper rods & several brass plates which I custom cut & riveted together with copper rivets . The parts are solder or riveted & then patina to give it an antique look,I also seal the patina to prevent from tarnishing.The violin is an art object & can not be played. steampunk Violin Sculpture Mixed Metal Clockwork Art
