RAKU CERAMIC TECHNIQUE The Raku technique is at the heart of my work & my passion, an ancient Japanese art that transforms clay into a story. Each piece is born from a process that unites fire, earth, air, & water, in an intimate dialogue with the elements. The most intense moment, when I remove the object from the incandescent kiln & immerse it in the flames, is pure magic for me: there, the crackle effects, as unique as fingerprints, & the metallic nuances that only fire can create come to life. Each ceramic tells a unique & unrepeatable story. JAPANESE PHILOSOPHY Each work stems from my desire to celebrate the beauty of simple & imperfect things, as wabi-sabi teaches. I consider them not just objects, but presences that delicately inhabit the space, conveying a sense of calm & harmony.
