Mr. Dark-Eyed Junco, Needle Felted Bird Sculpture

One of the most abundant forest birds of North America, Juncos are seen on woodland walks as well as in flocks at your feeders or on the ground beneath them. There are many variations in plumage details in these medium size sparrows, & the one I chose is a gray headed junco. If you would like a junco with different markings, please let me know which one you would prefer! This plump fella is needle felted from sheep's wool. Needle felting is a time consuming process where wool is repeatedly poked by a single barbed needle until the desired shape is formed. Great care has been taken to accurately depict his markings & colors. He stands on sturdy wire feet & is life size at 5 1 /2 - 6 inches in length & has black glass eyes. He would love to have a spot to sit on your windowsill or be given as a gift to one of your bird loving friends! Your bird is custom made once you place your order. I usually ship your order within 2-3 weeks of payment, but it depends on how many orders I have. Allow me more time especially during busy holiday times or for multiple orders.
