For many years now I have been experimenting with the dramatic, fluid & graceful forms that can be created by cutting one piece of wood most, but not all the way through & then expanding it by steam bending. This method has led to clean, honest forms where the structure is the ornamentation. The Dreamcatcher Hall Table is my most ambitious effort yet. All of the Ash (the light wood) structure started as one small board. Like an accordion it has been expanded into a form over 6 times its size. The bottom & top were then joined to the Cherry top & stretchers, creating an extremely strong & light console table. 36h x 15d x 54l This table is available by custom commission.
