Mr. Barn Owl, Needle Felted Bird Sculpture

The Barn Owl is one of the most widely distributed birds in the world, found on all continents except Antarctica, & on many oceanic islands as well. The Barn Owl is one of the few bird species with the female showier than the male. I am very fond of Barn Owls after reading to my children the wonderful series of children's books called the Guardian's of the Ga'Hoole. My Barn Owl has been needle felted, a time consuming process in which wool roving is repeatedly poked by a barbed needle until the desired shape is formed. Great care has been taken to accurately depict this owls markings, shape & color. He stands on sturdy wire feet that have been felted, has glass eyes & is approximately 7 inches long, about half the size of a real Barn Owl. I would love to make a full size Barn Owl, so please ask for a price quote if you would like one! Your Barn Owl will be custom made once you place your order. I usually ship out within 2-3 weeks, but it depends on how many orders I have. Allow. more time especially during busy holidays or with multiple orders.
